The Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau AG continues its international expansion. In early November 2020, Huber opened a new support and service center based in Illkirch-Graffenstaden, France. The new subsidiary will serve end users and partners in France under the name "Huber France Services".

The Huber CT50 cold trap offers direct, rapid cooling to temperatures as low as -50°C as well as low operating costs. Its compact design takes up minimal space on the laboratory bench. Thanks to the natural refrigerant, the cold trap works in an environmentally friendly manner. It is also robust and durable due to the high-quality materials used in its manufacture. The evaporator is made of stainless steel, and on request can be coated with resistant polytetrafluoroethylene, ceramic polymers…

There are sometimes major challenges in mapping chemical syntheses on the laboratory scale to the kilo laboratory scale and on to the production scale. Here, it is advantageous to limit oneself to a few interventions in the process in order to keep the entire handling as simple as possible.

Ultra-compact, easy to handle and versatile – the new Piccolo 280 OLÉ chiller convinces entirely with state-of-the-art thermoelectric Peltier technology. This technology enables accurate and rapid heating or cooling, entirely without refrigerant, which is a clear benefit for the environment. Furthermore this model is maintenance-free.

With the new Chili, Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau AG presents a compact, low volume, hydraulically sealed heating thermostat for use with closed temperature control circuits. Part of the Unistat product family, the Chili is the smallest heating thermostat in the Huber range and is appropriate for use with Marlotherm as a heat transfer fluid.

When planning, designing, setting up and operating a standard application in chemical and chemical-pharmaceutical laboratories (consisting of temperature control unit, double jacket vessel, thermofluid and temperature control hoses), as shown in Figure 1, elementary mistakes are often made. The result is then that the overall application does not work optimally, but the user has to live with this solution.
