Strengthening of market position through transformation into a European stock corporation

News

Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau AG announces the transformation into Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau SE on April 13, 2023. Huber is now a European stock corporation.

A Societas Europaea (SE) is a European legal form that was introduced in 2001 and has since been increasingly used by internationally oriented companies. The biggest difference to a stock corporation (AG) is that an SE is accepted within the entire European Union. An SE also offers more flexibility in terms of the administration and management of the company, so cross-border business but also mergers and acquisitions become easier.

The transformation to an SE offers Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau further advantages. The company can now more easily meet the needs of its international customers, as the legal form of an SE offers a better international presence and the company can more easily expand its business to the international market. The legal form of an SE also offers greater credibility and reputation for the company on an international level. The SE is the preferred legal form for companies that operate across borders or have a European dimension.

"The transformation to a Societas Europaea is an important step for our company. We are convinced that we will be able to strengthen our competitiveness and consolidate our position as a technology leader for temperature control equipment in Europe and worldwide," says CEO Daniel Huber.

The new legal form has no impact for customers and employees. The company will continue to manufacture high-quality temperature control solutions at its headquarters in Offenburg and conduct its business as usual. The transformation will not affect existing contracts, guarantees or obligations of the company. Huber will remain the usual reliable partner for high precision temperature control in research and industry from -125 to +425 °C.
