TOP 100 Innovator 2026 – for the fourth time

News

The Offenburg-based family business has been awarded the title of “Innovator of the Year” by TOP 100 for the fourth time.

Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau SE has been named ‘Innovator of the Year 2026’ as part of the TOP 100 innovation competition. This is the fourth time that the Offenburg-based family-run company has received this competition's highest honour. The decision is based on an independent scientific analysis that assesses the innovative strength, innovation management and sustainable economic success of the participating companies.

HUBER has been one of the most successful entrants in the TOP 100 competition for many years and has already been voted one of Germany’s 100 most innovative medium-sized companies on twelve occasions. This latest accolade recognises, in particular, the continuous development of the company’s innovation strategy and the culture of innovation that is consistently practised within the organisation.

“Innovation does not happen by chance at our company, but stems from a clear mindset: remaining curious, taking responsibility and constantly questioning the status quo,” says Daniel Huber, CEO of Peter Huber Kältemaschinenbau SE. “This award confirms the path that our entire team has been following together for many years – with a focus on technology, quality and long-term solutions for our customers.”

The company develops and manufactures high-precision temperature control solutions for research, industry and demanding high-tech applications. Customers worldwide rely on the quality, precision and innovative strength of these ‘Made in Germany’ systems. Research and development form a central part of the company’s strategy.

The scientific analysis of the competition is being carried out under the leadership of Professor Nikolaus Franke (Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business). Among other things, the assessment will cover the innovation climate, innovation management processes, external orientation and the success of implemented innovations.

“Being named ‘Innovator of the Year’ four times is both a mark of recognition and a commitment for us,” Daniel Huber continued. “We will continue to work consistently to offer our customers future-proof solutions and to play an active role in shaping Germany as a centre of innovation.” Click here for the full profile.
